Bugs‌ ‌found‌ ‌in‌ Latitude for iOS

Latitude

4.9

Latitude is a four-in-one mobile app that provides weather forecasts, daily news, fashion and styling tips, as well as shopping recommendations. The app targets both men and women, and it contains everything one needs to stay informed and put together. As for the Weather block, users get to view minute-by-minute rain forecasts, check the weather for each hour or for weeks ahead, as well as receive weather-related beauty and wellness tips. The Daily News Feed allows reading top news customized to one’s interests, daily horoscopes, and motivational quotes. It also offers some extra features, such as a goal tracker, a gratitude list, and three-minute meditations. If you are into fashion, you can check the latest seasonal styles and source inspiration from outfit ideas uploaded by the community members and top stylists. Latitude also provides all the needed tools to build your virtual capsule wardrobe that can be later transformed into a real one as all the items can be easily added to your shopping list. By making its mobile solution inclusive, through features like the dark mode, clothing items for men and women, and Fahrenheit and Celcius options, the Latitude team proves that they not only inform about the latest trends, but also follow them.

We’ve already tested weather forecast, newspaper, and e-commerce apps, so when we saw that Latitude has beautifully combined all these apps into a single platform, we couldn’t resist and proceeded with testing. Here are the Latitude bugs we spotted.

I find the app pretty cool: you can track the weather in any city worldwide. On top of that, you can instantly see some suggested clothing items that match the current weather forecast. I also like its social side - you can make and share stories. The bugs I found do not affect the app’s core functionality, yet they may be slightly annoying for the users. For example, those who prefer the light mode over the dark cannot adjust the background, while accidental hiding of the app will result in the default weather screen no matter what you’ve been browsing before.
